About Joseph Apoux
Joseph Apoux was a French genre painter working during the fin-de-ciècle. His erotic images, usually executed in drypoint or engraving, are highly detailed, iconographically sophisticated, occasionally blasphemous and imbued with a deep vein of wry humour.
